A fresh and modern look for Coop Pank offices
Good to know ・ 02.01.2025
Coop Pank’s offices have become even more eye-catching thanks to our tellers' new uniforms, designed by the Estonian designer Susanna Peters.
In this article, we’ll take a closer look at how the new uniforms came to life, the choices made during the design process, and why garments crafted by local artisans are an important step for us.
Susanna, where did the idea for these specific designs come from?
The idea arose from the need to combine practicality, comfort, and the representation of the company's brand image. Uniform design is always a collaborative effort, and Coop Pank sought a solution that would be suitable for daily use while reflecting professionalism and unity.
How did the final concept and design take shape?
The final concept developed step by step. We combined practical elements, such as fabric choices, diverse cuts, and functional features, with the company’s visual identity and brand color palette. During the process, we tested prototypes and made adjustments to ensure the clothing would fit all employees.
Does the attire feature any interesting motifs?
Yes, indeed. The dresses include pink accents that are part of the brand, and the scarves feature patterns inspired by brand elements. These details add a personal and profound touch to the uniforms while remaining understated.
How were the materials for the attire chosen?
We selected fabrics that are durable, breathable, and suitable for various working conditions. It was essential that the materials be easy to maintain, simplifying the employees’ daily routines.
What role did environmental sustainability play in the design process?
Environmental sustainability was crucial for us. All the fabrics used have Oeko-Tex 100 certification, meaning they contain no harmful chemicals that could pose risks to the environment or people.
All production was carried out locally by Estonian craftsmen, and production scraps were repurposed for new projects. Additionally, we focused on durability to ensure the attire lasts a long time, thereby reducing waste.
Were there any unexpected challenges?
The biggest challenge was finding materials in colors that perfectly matched the brand's concept. Ensuring the correct tones was critical to reflecting the company's visual identity and creating a cohesive and professional impression.
We had to combine offerings from different suppliers and test several options before arriving at a solution that met our quality, aesthetic, and practical requirements.
How does the new attire reflect Coop Pank's identity and values?
The new attire highlights Coop Pank’s dynamism and reliability. The design strikes a balance between professionalism and humanity, aligning with the company’s values of being innovative, convenient, and modern.
It is also more comfortable, functional, and adaptable to different body shapes. Features like adjustable straps on dresses, various cut options, and practical elements such as pockets enhance its usability.
What makes unified attire significant?
It creates visual cohesion and strengthens team spirit, as well as helping employees feel part of a larger whole, fostering pride and brand loyalty. Additionally, it leaves a positive and professional first impression on clients.
What has been the initial reception to the new apparel?
Employees have praised the apparel for their comfort and style. The positive feedback confirms that the versatile choices and practical features were the right decisions. Employees also appreciate the suitability of the clothing for various working conditions.
What lessons and emotions did you take away from this project?
The collaboration was smooth and enjoyable from the very first meeting. For me, the connection with the people involved in a project is crucial, and the Coop Pank project manager for the uniforms was a very kind and pleasant person.
In my view, collaboration and taking feedback into account are key to achieving successful results. This was a memorable and inspiring experience, reaffirming that flexibility and inclusiveness lead to the best outcomes.
Susanna Peters, working under the Franz Raver brand, designed both the dress and suit for Coop Pank’s tellers. All production took place in Tartu. The new attire is part of Coop Pank's commitment to providing everyday banking services that are human-centered, convenient, and modern. The collaboration with a local designer reflects our desire to keep life moving forward in every corner of Estonia.
