Coop Pank’s Tõrva branch will be open until 27 March

29.01.2024

Coop Pank will be closing its Tõrva branch on 28 March 2024, since in recent years clients have shown a clear preference for using the bank’s branches in larger towns and cities. The nearest of these are located in Viljandi, Tartu, Võru and Põlva – all of which will remain open after the Tõrva branch closes and will be happy to serve its clients. As before, Coop Pank clients can continue to make cash deposits and withdrawals at the Coop stores in Tõrva.

The Coop Pank branch in the same building as the Coop store in Tõrva (at the Tikste Konsum centre at Viljandi 28) will be open for another two months, with its final day of operations being 27 March. Until then, anyone interested in or requiring assistance with the use of Coop Pank’s Internet bank and mobile app can obtain help and information at the branch.

Karel Parve, the head of private banking in Coop Pank, says many of the bank’s clients in the Tõrva area are already active users of its Internet bank and mobile app. “Anyone who needs help in using our digital solutions is welcome to come in to our Tõrva branch, where our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you have,” he said. “The branch also has a computer that our clients are free to use.” Following the closure of the branch, bank staff will continue to visit the Coop store in Tõrva twice a month to advise clients on simpler banking matters and to offer them support in the use of the bank’s digital services.

Private clients of Coop Pank can pay money into their account and withdraw money from it at any Coop store in Estonia free of charge by simply taking their Coop Pank bank card to the store with them. There are three Coop stores in Tõrva: the Tõrva store itself; the Tõrviku store; and the store in the Tikste Konsum centre. Outside of the town itself, further Coop stores can be found in Ala, Riidaja and Hummuli.

Private clients of Coop Pank can deposit up to 1000 euros per day and a total of 2000 euros per month in their accounts in any Coop store free of charge. Business clients can deposit up to 1000 euros per day and a total of 4000 euros per month in their accounts in the same manner free of charge. Private clients of Coop Pank can also withdraw cash from any ATM free of charge, regardless of the bank it belongs to or whose logo it bears.

Coop Pank apologises for any inconvenience caused by the closure of the Tõrva branch. Following the closure, the bank will have 14 branches in 11 towns and cities around Estonia, at six of which cash transactions can also be performed. All Coop Pank branches are open from Monday to Friday, with no appointments necessary. Thanks to the cash service offered in Coop stores, Coop Pank continues to boast the biggest cash network in Estonia.

Coop Pank’s customer service is available by calling 669 0966 from 8:30-19:00 Monday-Friday.
